  1. Hello,
I’m trying to use the advanced open solver addin in Excel 365. I am able to load the add-in without issues. However, when I click any of the buttons (Model or Solve), I get Run-time error ‘1004’.

I am using one of the example files in the v2.94 advanced download.
When I click on the “Model” button, the error message is: “Run-time error ‘1004’: Method ‘Range’ of object ‘_Application’ failed”. When I click on debug, I am taken to the “Getreferstorange” function where the error is in the line “Set GetRefersToRange = Application.Range(RefersTo)”. RefersTo is a string with a value of “1”.

Can you please help me resolve this issue?

    1. Sorry it is not working for you. Can you please tell us what version of Excel and what operating system you are using? Also, what example file did you use? Andrew

  2. I’ve encountered a problem after installing the Opensolver extension.
When I select ‘Data’ and open ‘About Opensolver..’, I get a Run-Time error with code 438; stating ‘Object doesn’t support this property or method’ .

When I select ‘Debug’, the line causing this issue states:

    1 Lang = Application.LocalizedLanguage

What can I do to resolve this issue?
This is on the OSX version.

  3. Hello Opensolver Devs!
Is there a way to install OpenSolver as system addin (like Ms Excel standard Solver) in a lab environment with different domain users?
    Thanks in advance

    1. In our University, we don’t pre-install OpenSolver, but just let people open the OpenSolver.xlam file when they want to use OpenSolver. This avoids cluttering Excel with add-ins people are not using. Andrew
